Happy New Year!

Rabbi's Message

We at Chabad of Lincoln Park join you in hope and prayer as together we approach the new Jewish year of 5781.

As we find ourselves in this unprecedented time, Chabad Lincoln Park will do everything possible for our community to celebrate in a safe way.

Therefore, we are proud to announce that we will host our High Holiday services at the historic and magnificent:

"A New Leaf" garden courtyard at 1816 N. Wells, Chicago IL 60614.

In case of bad weather, we will also have access to the adjacent "A New Leaf" indoor venue as well.

These will be abbreviated services consisting of select pivotal prayers, the Torah reading, the sounding of the Shofar on the 2nd day of Rosh Hashanah, and the recital of Yizkor on Yom Kippur.

Wishing you a happy & sweet New Year!

Rabbi Mendy & Brocha Benhiyoun

Tashlich Service

In the late afternoon of Rosh Hashana, the entire community joins together in a proud processional for the observance of tashlich. Representing the themes of renewal and rejuvenation, this tradition also has a way of demonstrating a spirit of communal solidarity as young and old march and sing together while en route to perform a fascinating mitzvah.

Tashlich will take place on September 20th at 5:30PM at the bridge over Lincoln Park Zoo's South Pond.

Holiday Covid-19 Appeal

In the years past we were able to host services at a location/venue with minimal or no cost. This year we secured a magnificent and historic venue to accommodate the unique circumstances of this year. Even with receiving a discounted rate, our costs will be much higher, including purchasing the necessary PPE supplies. Please consider adding a donation to your seat reservation to help cover the additional cost.
